2020 Field of Glory
The Azusa Rotary Club and the Azusa Rotary Foundation are pleased to announce our 5th Annual Field of Glory, an inspirational display of hundreds of U.S. Flags gracing the front lawn of the Azusa City Hall. The flag display will run from September 6th through September 11th in remembrance of the sacrifices of 9/11 and to pay tribute to all our courageous and dedicated firefighters and paramedics, law enforcement officers, COVID-19 frontline workers, active service members, and veterans.
The 2020 Field of Glory will be a no-contact experience in compliance with local and county public health orders restricting public gatherings. Although we must forgo an opening ceremony this year, the Field of Glory serves to celebrate our fellow citizens who have dedicated their lives to keeping us safe and protecting our cherished freedoms. We encourage our community residents to view this awe-inspiring flag display by walking or driving by City Hall during the week of 9/11.
The Field of Glory is also a fundraising event for the Azusa Rotary Foundation. The generosity of our local business sponsors and personal donors over the years has allowed us to serve local students. The purchase of a U.S. flag for $40 or a donation of any amount will help us continue to deliver Rotary youth programs such as the 4-Way Ethical Test Speech Contest, the Dan Stover Music Competition, and leadership development camps. We also support local organizations that serve student veterans and the needs of at-risk youth.
